Associate Account Manager


Provide monitored and appropriately matched Account Management for assigned Federal Customer to ensure customer satisfaction. Assist Non-Profit Agencies (NPAs) to maintain program compliance, statutory compliance, and best in class service delivery. Accountable for generally smaller, less complex projects with less assessed risk.


  • Participate in the planning and support of geography centric meetings as required.
  • Oversee all assigned customer account activities.
  • Be the team POC for all assigned contract actions with NPA, Contracting Activity, and US AbilityOne Commission.
  • Maintain all account project files.
  • Provide subject matter expertise regarding AbilityOne Program.
  • Strengthen the AbilityOne Program through preservation or expansion of existing contracts .
  • Identify and refer new requirements for the AbilityOne Procurement List to Sales.
  • Support the efforts of the Sales Team as needed.
  • Provide support and analysis to NPAs regarding the development of price proposals.
  • Monitor contract performance by conducting site visits, attending performance meetings, and coordinating technical assistance.
  • Provide consultation about NPA capability for additional services proposed for expansions or as additions to the AbilityOne Procurement List.
  • Provide collaboration and support to team members as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • AbilityOne Program, Purpose, Responsibilities, and Requirements.
    • Fair Labor Standards Act
    • Service Contract Act
    • Basics of Federal Contracting
    • Customer Specific Policies and Team Customer Service Procedures.
    • Use of SourceAmerica business applications such as FOA, PLIMS, and other business tools.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Clear understanding of all requirements under the SourceAmerica Cooperative Agreement.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in account management practices.
  • Utilization of best practices and knowledge of internal or external business to improve services.
  • Solves complex problems using existing solutions.
  • Works independently, but proactively asks for assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Has developed conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline.
  • Identifies customer needs and develops solutions to non-standard requests.
  • Effectively articulates difficult issues and works to build consensus.
  • Makes decisions within guidelines and policies.
  • Impacts a range of standard and non-standard customer operational processes or activities.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
